october ′10 PBWM.ru Started Registration of Voters for SPEARS Russia Awards 2010

The Organizing Committee of SPEARS Russia Wealth Management Awards 2010 started forming the list of industry experts who will vote to determine nominee short-lists in every nomination. The registration is available through PBWM.ru. By filling out a short form industry professionals will then be admitted to the Votes by Peers stage of SPEARS Russia Awards 2010, which will continue until the end of October. The winners will then be determined by the Judging Panel and announced at the Awards Ceremony in Moscow on November 25, 2010.

Another privilege of the registration is a membership in a community of private banking and wealth management professionals. Each registered user will gain access to virtual business cards of other participants along with the opportunity to communicate with them and share comments.

september ′10 Dr. Yakov Brand to Host Charity Event

Every Side of Life, a charity photo exhibition and sale aiming to help seriously ill children, will be held on the premises of WINZAVOD Moscow Centre for Contemporary Art on 5 October 2010. The author of the project, a well-known cardiac surgeon Yakov Brand, will present his photography in various genres: landscapes, travel, animals and many other subjects. Visitors will have the opportunity to acquire any of the photos or an album just on the spot while the entire proceeds will be used for curing children suffering from dreadful heart diseases.

The event will be held at Meglinskaya Gallery with the support of Life Line and Heart of Gold charity foundations.

september ′10 SPEAR’S Russia Wealth Management Awards 2010: nomination stage

SPEAR’S Russia magazine in cooperation with PBWM.ru are pleased to announce the start of the preparatory stage of SPEAR’S Russia Wealth Management Awards 2010, which will be held on 25 November 2010 at Vetoshny Center in Moscow to celebrate the achievements of professionals and firms from private banking, wealth management and related industries for their successes, innovations and acumen over 2009-2010. The ceremony will traditionally be hosted by Ivan Urgant.

In 2010 there are 18 nominations in the preliminary list. SPEAR’S Russia welcomes propositions on potential nominees until 30 September at spearsawards@mediacrat.ru.

The 2010 winners will be determined in two rounds. At first, short lists of nominees in every category will be formed based on votes of professionals from private banking, wealth management and related industries. Afterwards, short lists will be presented to the professional Judging Panel headed by SPEAR’S Russia Editor-in-Chief Alexander Gafin. After the Judging Panel will have voted, the Organizing Committee in cooperation with the Independent Consultant of the Awards will sum up the votes for each nominee to determine winners in each category. The Judging Panel will be announced in October 2010. SPEAR’S Russia Wealth Management Awards 2010 will be monitored by PricewaterhouseCoopers as an Independent Consultant.

PBWM.ru, the first Russian Internet site devoted to Private Banking and Wealth Management has been officially launched. This is a joint project by PBWM Media, MEDIACRAT and Wealthbriefing.com, one of the best English language resources specializing in these subjects.
The objective of PBWM.ru is to provide information, analysis and opinions on a global scale, but viewed from the Russian perspective. SPEAR’S Russia magazine is to become the basis of the website. Since 2008 this magazine has been assiduously monitoring all existing trends in private banking & wealth management industry, as well as the formation of demand for new investment ideas and asset management services with a specific focus on wealthy individuals’ reaction to the existing offers. PBWM.ru is planning to report on a wide variety of aspects of private banking services online and through ‘live’ contact with the audience.
