At the request of Uniastrum Bank, one of the Russian banking sector leaders, MEDIACRAT has been managing the creative and commercial aspects of the bank’s client-oriented publication GORODSKAYA BANKOVSKAYA GAZETA [The City Banking Newspaper] since December 2005.
This project can really be called unique for the Russian media market. As a matter of fact, GORODSKAYA BANKOVSKAYA GAZETA is the only one of its kind – a specialized banking publication intended for a very large and diverse audience. The main objective of the newspaper is to tell consumers about banking products and services in a clear and straightforward manner. Based on this objective, MEDIACRAT developed a corresponding design layout. The newspaper’s distinctive feature is its hand-drawn illustrations. The editorial concept of GBG fits its main objective and is based on three principles: simplicity, brevity and clarity of the information provided.
GBG distribution system includes distribution to all the branches of Uniastrum Bank. The magazine is also circulated as a supplement to Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.
UNIASTRUM Bank was honored with the ‘Best System of Corporate Publications – 2007’ award at CORPRESS-2007, the IV All-Russian Forum of Corporate Press. The bank’s client-oriented newspaper, Gorodskaia Bankovskaia Gazeta (GBG), published by MEDIACRAT, was recognized as the Best of Corporate Publishing at the international Forum Corporate Publishing. GBG has been published and distributed in all regions of Russia since January 2006. In Moscow, GBG is also distributed as a monthly supplement to Komsomolskaia Pravda. The average monthly print run of GBG reaches 160,000 copies. The newspaper’s audience exceeds 450,000 readers. GBG owes its success primarily to the original editorial concept, which was developed by MEDIACRAT specifically for UNIASTRUM Bank. Creative management of the project is provided by MEDIACRAT.
Gorodskaya Bankovskaya Gazeta, a client-oriented publication of Uniastrum Bank, has been awarded a Rossijskaja Gazeta Diploma for “The high level of creativity in custom publishing” at the I Russian National Banking Festival that took place in Montenegro. In 2006, at the III annual contest The Leader of Custom Publishing in Russia, GBG was honored with “The Best Client-oriented Corporate Publication” award. Creative and commercial management of the project is provided by MEDIACRAT.
Two key MEDIACRAT projects, corporate publications of RUSAL and UNIASTRUM Bank, were ranked as the best corporate publications at the III annual contest The Leader of Corporate Publishing in Russia. Nash ZhurnAl (Our Magazine), RUSAL’s intracorporate magazine was awarded The 2006 Best Corporate Publication prize, while UNIASTRUM’s GBG (City Banking Newspaper) was honored with The 2006 Best B2C Corporate Publication award.
